Geordie tab assistance

Postby A_Plus » Sun Aug 19, 2012 7:54 pm

I've been trying to work out a few of my favourite Geordie guitar parts but have become a bit stumped by a few songs, notably the Revelations stuff. I can't work out the verses for Empire Song. I can get the intro but those dissonant chords elude me! Any ideas?

Apparently he switched to Facebook completely \:(\ He's posting there quite often.\
Maybe there are some others Geordie-specialists amongst us?

Ultimate-guitar.co has a good Empire song tab. There are umpteen tracks going on in the single/album version so it's hard to tell what to play but any would do while Jaz is doing his vocals.\
Most of Anthony's tabs are in the older posts section of Myspace.\
\
I've just checked Myspace and is'nt that Anthony posting under Killing Joke guitar Tab's . He posted a tab for the last single in May this year.\
\
www.killingjoketabs.org.uk site still works.

Hey guys !!! I wasn't playing that much the guitar these last two years, but... Here I go again...!!!! \:D\ \
Actually I just created a FB KJ guitar tabs, Myspace doesn't seem to be so visited... But... I especially realised -after some very long hours listening to KJ with a good stereo headphones- that almost (95% ?) of the previous tabs I made weren't so accurate, so I made this FB page, and I post in this only some improved -at least I hope- and up-dated tabs, especially spending hours trying to figure out BTATS songs.... \
There :\

Man, I'm going through a phase of learning as many Geordie riffs as possible at the moment. Thanks mostly to these tabs.

I always held off over the years (I've been playing for 28 years) because I didn't want to ruin the magic of Geordie but the last few albums have done that a bit.

Once you learn the songs you realise how much work his delay pedal and fab Gibson are doing but he's still a genius. I can't stop playing Eighties. The chorus and, in particular, bridge are MAD SKILLS.

Have you noticed any tuning changes in any of Geordie's work? Also, Mr. Punch... you would probably be the one to ask. I'd also like to know if Georgie sometimes plays in Open tunings now and then... Occasionally, it seems like he does play a variation in an Open D tuning. I'm not a good enough player to know. It's hard to know as Geordie is some unique with his sound...I can sometimes figure it out. But it takes a lllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg time.

If you know that he changes tunings in some songs...please let me know what songs. Thanks much!
