How to get the classic Geordie sound?

I know it differs a bit all the time but I'm talking about e.g. the opening of Intravenous or LLB?\

I know it's distortion + chorus + delay but in what measures and is there anything else I should know?\

I can probably work it out by trial and error but if anyone had any hints/short cuts it would be great.\

(I realise that due to the lack of a Gibson ES, Marshall or good pedals I'll never get it exactly right - doing it all through Cubase)

What about your tuning? Is it: D-G-C-F-A-D it makes a lot, but it`s not only to low down the tuning, it should sound kinda muddy cos you would need thicker strings and with that you need to work on your saddle nuts etc etc...\

Where I am recording at the momnt. I can use ONE of these mikes. And the sound you get is..WOW! It`s hard to desctripe ...firsttime I got the feeling that I was playing or singing thru a cristal something..it was directly going into the centre of my bloddy brain...absolutely thrilling!\

Thanks. Maybe he is - no idea. That gear is all way beyond my set-up though: PC + Cubase + guitar...\

No he`s not using the above equipment anymore. As far as I know, one of his Burman Amps got knicked after a show...and the other one broke down not very much later.\

Since 2006 he uses 2 Framus Dragon Tops http://www.thomann.de/gb/framus_dragon.htm and four 4x10 Marshal Cabinets.\
\
Dunno about his pedals but I guess he still uses the Electro Harmonix cos it`s a killer pedal.

Well I firsttime spottet the the Framus Amps on the Melkweg Show in 2006 which was watchable as a Live Video Stream. He then has had Framus Cabinets too, but little later when I saw them in Cologne he was back to his 4x10 Marshal cabinets.\

In 2003 he used to have full Marshal Stacks. But to me the Framus are better as they have more brillance, also 2008 when they played LA. he uses full Marshal Stacks ,I guess it was cheaper to hire Marshal Stacks over there than to bring his Equipment over there. Lets wait till April, then I will probably have more to tell more
