Geord`s Solo Album

Geord`s Solo Album

Postby Mr.Punch » Thu Jul 31, 2008 5:16 pm

As we`ve been talking about it on the "Geordies MYSPACE Site" Thread... I open a new thread for it.\
\
Well, I was thinking again about his Solo Affair...while listening to some of his other actions on the iPot...\
\
I think it would be good if some of the demos end up on the new KJ opus. But in general...\
\
if he would continue with his solo album...he would hire a singer. Right! A Bassplayer! Right! And of course a Drummer! Maybe a keyboarder too.\
\
So, what was Damage Manual then? Or Murder Inc.?\
\
Yeah, you can come up with...that were The Independent Supergroups...cos there were all well known musicians gathering in a studio...\
\
HA! Would be the same on a Geordie Solo Album, would`nt it? Benny on Drums, Jah Whobble Bass...etc.\
\
So, can`t we say...we already got minimum Two Solo Albums of Geordie???\
\
I tend to think so.

After the saturday gig in Paris we went to a pub near the venue, only Big Paul wasn't there... I asked Geordie about his solo album, he answered me he recorded the whole stuff in 3 hours, and that it was "far away", showing me the other side of the street... I told him i love a song more than the others (track 9 on his myspace page), "singing" him the drum rythm intro, he immediately recognised it and sang the guitar part, that was a really funny moment... \:)\ \
Maybe he will keep some tracks for the next Killing Joke album, i didn't ask him (it was late and i was drunk \\ )

I think the riffs are brilliant, Geordie really does'nt realise how good he is.
All the best gig's have no support band and finish early. Time for bed Flowrence said Dougal.

Those two tracks he put out with that admittedly rather dodgy lady singer moved me far more than anything on the last two KJ albums.\
\
I'd kill to hear an album of that quality from him.

I've been thinking the same thing recently? Will he go back to work on this. I really liked the demos and the couple of songs that floated around some time ago with the female vocalist. I hope he releases it...
