Has Europe ever been played live? If so, is there available a recording of it?

I always considered Europe the weak point of Nighttime, almost just filler.

One of mine too. Quintessential Geordie guitar tone.

I've always dug the bass beat quite frankly...and then the off handed guitar keys (chords) Geordie plays right before the beat. Makes me want to be 18 years old and get all gothic and bounce around like a chicken with my head cut off!

I'm listening to it now and I don't get any of that. The chorus is OK but the rhythm through the verse is just annoying. I just can't imagine dancing to it at all. It's sort of like a watered down version of Tabazan that just doesn't work. Tabazan has the off-kilter guitar and a really muscular bass line that gets you moving. It used to pack dancefloors in Goth clubs back in the day but I could never imagine anyone even trying to play Europe in a club.

Listening to it now to get reacquainted.

It's good. It's driven by Raven's bass which is always a good thing. Chorus is good. Bridge is alright.

It's not the best thing on the album but it's still way better than most of their output post-90s.
