What about Full Metal Jackoff by Jello Biafra and DOA ?\
\
Or maybe LiesLiesLies by Ministry-one of the heaviest riffs in the galaxy.

For me it's either Wardance or Pssyche.\

From the later years Blood On Your Hands or The Great Cull.

According to my last.fm stats from the last two years its "Chessboards" followed by "Pandemonium", "Sanity" & "Adorations".\
\
I really like Brighter Than A Thousand Suns for its lyrical content. A track like "Rubicon" for me is a real masterpiece, "Adorations", "Sanity" both transport a great melodious vibe. Yeah, it's a lot mid-80s synthies, but mostly nice and organic fat analog pad sounds (Oberheim I guess), Geordies guitars awesome as always, the rhythm section great too. I don't mind that the album is sometimes considered too soft, some guy somewhere even compared the album to Modern Talking. Still can't believe it. \\ \
\
Another track I listened to a lot is "Black Moon". Great atmosphere and lyrics:\
\
In the temples I am kneeling fearing god\
In the cinemas they're baying for some blood\
Horror began to dawn as fear played its part\
The fear that cancels out the love that's in our hearts\
All the hurt we felt repeated down the line\
The pain inflicted was the pain that we designed\
I try escaping from the person that I am\
Here is the endless cycle break it if you can\
\
Great! I fucking love it! To a lot of the lyrics i can totally relate, they reflect a certain amount of my feelings to almost 100%. "Absent Friends" helped me a lot, when a very close friend commited suicide after struggeling with bipolar disorder. "And I remember laughing so much we cried, you knew my every thought there was nothing I could hide. We celebrated moons, we marvelled at the night sky, with flute and drum and pen, we were grateful for our lives."\
\
Picking out only a few important songs is almost impossible. The ones mentioned just came to my mind.
Holy is the laughter that overcomes all your fears.

I'm glad someone finally came here with the unpopular songs. Honestly, I feel the same. Sometimes I feel that Jaz needed to send a message that got too pompous along the way and the fans started to perceive it as cominal. That's pretty sad actually.

Yeah I know what you mean, maybe it is also because of Jazs views and things he talks about in interviews etc. Many of his points I also don't agree with or can't comprehend as I share different opinions. But basically most (if not all) of the lyrics for KJ have a very interesting theme and Jaz knows very well how to put them into verses. Also the music has this special vibe which needs this kind of lyrical content. I mean if it wasn't for bands like them we would all be singing My my my my my Po-Po-Po-Pokerface all day long, right!? \\ \
\
But most of all Killing Joke create a great mood which is just grabbing you. Had a bad day? Put on Hosannas and you'll feel better. Guaranteed! \:)\ Sometimes I also like listening to songs like Outside The Gate (great outro!) or My Love Of This Land. They have such a big bandwith of different styles and melodies in their discography I never get sick of listening to them.

I was eight when my brother brought home the Empire Song single and it blew my mind. I wasn't quite sure why at the time but it was down to the guitar and BPF's tribal style. Nothing's reached that bar since.
