youtube is pretty good if the upload is 480 or over.Almost hd quality audio.
With this show being pre digital then the original audio wont be much better than what were hearing.
There are some tricks i can do to improve the audio.I dont mind trying if theres no objection by anyone.
But the best i could do is make the mp3 audio sound like wav with binaural trickery.
Maybe have a word with Michael about it aswel,he knows his stuff.

Hm, it would be the best to find someone with a DVD of the Porchester recording and to rip a wav from the audio. The problem with mp3 is the fact, if you compress and decompress again and again, the quality gets worse and worse. So, correct me please, if I'm wrong, but if you do an upload of an mp3-sound to youtube, it gets compressed for a second time on youtube. If you catch it from there via a program, it gets decompressed and compressed again for a third time. Every new compression means a loss in quality... One time is ok, but a second and a third...
I have an old Video-Cdr of it, but have never listened to the sound via a proper sound-system, I'm ashamed.

im checking it out and its a mono recording from youtube,so perhaps your version is stereo Michael. like you say,see if the original audio is different
Not complaining,really enjoying listening to this in mono,sounds ace
Mp3 mono is close to wav mono so it can be enhanced very well,but as a rule ide steer away from third generation copies,unless thats all we had.
