END GAME\
\
Western-sponsored civil wars, famine and disorder\
Consolidate all currencies, erode all nation borders\
Mass migrations, demonstrations, voice getting louder\
Worrld Trade Center seven wasn't hit but turned to powder\
\
Sit back, enjoy\
A three-dimensional screeing\
Of the end of the world\
\
Baxter's caught out sending spores\
Vaccination for the poor\
Shock by shock - we're all starting to wake up\
Holocaust begin to roar\
Be prepared for martial law\
Shock by shock - we're all starting to wake up\
Endgame!\
\
Institutions, corporations, a silent hand endorses\
Measuring and quantifying all the earth's resources\
Satellite technology maps all the water sources\
Every acre of arable land protect by private forces\
Sit back, enjoy...\
\
Correlate with poputations, analyse the data\
Everybody's looking inside humanity's empty larder\
Diversion of the rivers just to water slave plantations\
Inmates who were citizens from one's proud sovereign nations\
\
Sit back, enjoy...\
\
\
THE RAVEN KING\
\
The raven's flown and left the tower\
And Albion feels all abandoned\
A desecrated cenotaph - surveillance state and waning choices\
Guarded by warrios we knew\
Guided by our ancestrals voices\
\
Let flags of black and red unfurl\
Echoes of distant laughter\
Confederation of the dispossessed\
Fearing neither God nor master\
\
Brother of this wretched man\
I heed your call - never giving in\
Watching from his perch bemused\
I see him now\
The spectre of the Raven King\
\
Forever in this moment\
Rejecting those who would control us\
Touched by a common genius\
all bound by fate and common purpose\
\
Brother of this wretched man\
I heed your call - never giving in\
Watching from his perch bemused\
I see him now\
The spectre of the Raven King\
\
All our lives transformed\
Touched forever more\
All conected\
All as one\
\
Spirit of resistance haunt us once again\
Your restless call for this defiance\
Let sorrow turn to anger in your name\
Carpe nocturna, seize the night now\
\
Brother of this wretched man\
\
\
HONOUR THE FIRE\
\
Just for this moment\
The glorious now\
Just to feel freedom\
Just for the sounds\
Shoulder to shoulder\
Until the end\
Constant companion\
Eternal Friend\
\
All that fire that drives us overcomes all pain\
And all of our struggles never been in vain\
\
As we get older\
- we cry, just one more sunset\
One more blue sky\
Just to hear laughter\
Just one more sigh\
One perfect gig, please\
Before I die\
\
And the fire that drives us overcomes all pain\
And all of our struggles never been in vain\
\
Spark of life, eternal spring - everlasting flame\
Gain to lose, lose to gain - utterly enflamed\
Marching into the mire -\
Together we will honour the fire...\
\
Just one more winter\
Geneva snow\
Just one more Christmas\
Before I go\
Just one more smile\
Just one more laugh\
belove mother\
Guiding my path\
\
And the fire that drives us overcomes all pain\
And all of our struggles never been in vain\
\
Spark of life, eternal spring - everlasting flame\
Gain to lose, lose to gain - utterly enflamed\
Marching into the mire -\
Together we will honour the fire...\
\
Spark of life - eternal spring\
\
\
DEPTHCHARGE\
\
In the ignorance of night\
As the owl is taking flight\
In the garden of bliss\
With the Black Isis\
\
Depthcharge\
Depthcharge, Kali, Kali, Kali\
\
Lying in front of the box\
Dead as a rock\
The wish-fulfilling tree\
At the bottom of the sea\
\
Depthcharge\
Depthcharge, Kali, Kali, Kali\
\
I don't see the stars\
Can't touch the grass\
I don't feel the tides\
Tight as Kali's smile\
\
Depthcharge...\
Depthcharge, Kali, Kali, Kali\
\
(No more beautiful, no more terrible)\
\
\
HERE COMES THE SINGULARITY\
\
World population mass has reached the critical\
Humanity shall function as a single cell\
Machines design and clone a different race of man\
Who is the architect, who is the hidden hand?\
\
Kneel down and freedom's gone\
Speak out - something's wrong\
So when society breaks down in screaming insanity\
And when the skies cracks open\
Here comes the singularity\
\
Military industrial complex on the rise\
Let new Pearl Harbours take no-one by surprise\
One million people marched against a traitor's war\
No weapons found and no-one heard their call\
\
Kneel down...\
\
Foundations and shareholders identified on list\
Big corporations dismantled brick by brick\
Investment bankers crushed like lilies under feet\
Let Baboeuf and Saint-Just pass judgement from the street\
\
Kneel down...\
\
\
GHOSTS OF LADBROKE GROVE\
\

(Danger, danger, stranger, stranger)\

All habits still die hard\
(Danger, danger, it's getting stranger)\
\
Get together, come remember\
Ghosts of Ladbroke Grove\
(What's happened to Ladbroke Grove?)\
\
All my brothers and comrades\
(Danger, danger, stranger, stranger)\
Come together with the sound\
(First one's free, pay me later)\
All my brothers and soulmates\

You really think we are the cult of followers that analyse every line and treat it like a bible? \:o\ We aren't. I think most of us don't take Jaz 100% seriously. When I saw the title The Great Cull, I thought it must have been some occult shit, but after reading the lyrics I thought to myself - "overpopulation topic again, oh dear old Jaz \:o\" It's a case of his obsessions and him being very repetitive. In this case it can be treated as 'bollocks', but I actually like the idea of Jaz as the never ending "prophet of doom". It's cool. I don't expect anything else from him. The music is apocalyptical, so are the lyrics. It matches.\
On the other hand, I remeber Icen Killin's post, when he said he found Honour the Fire moving, because he was a fan since day one and could relate to the lyrics. Can't you?

You really remind me of Pete West's strategy to rise up a huge arguments... any relation?\
\
What you wrote is an utter bollocks and could say a lot about your intelligence.

even if you don't care what the lyrics are saying per se, don't you at least want to know if you're singing along correctly? I, personally, can't see not wanting to know the lyrics, just like going to see a film and figuring out the theme-- some people are happy to just watch the explosions and count the kills (and that is why the Saw films are so popular). If i can't relate with a good portion of the lyrics-- and yes, I can relate to Jaz's lyrics, in fact, any American without health insurance can certainly connect with a lot of it, but bands that sing nonsense lyrics do nothing for me. Music is an art, and art should affect you on some level. On the other hand, there is an African song "Kothbiro" where I can't understand a word, yet the way it is sung moves me more than most english-speaking songs. Do I take Jaz's words and make them religion? No, that's foolish, just like the idea of someone watching Saw going out and doing those things-- I'm sure it could happen, but it is highly unlikely.\
\
btw-- Malthusianism is not Jaz's idea. Malthus' theories and observations were as sound as Darwin (Darwin was a big fan of Thomas Malthus and used some of his ideas in his natural selection theories). Malthus' idea that once a population outgrows its food source it will begin to collapse is an observable phenomenon that has been seen in bacteria colonies (are we so different?). Jaz chooses very interesting topics to sing about-- unfortunately, he's always tying them into this common "end of the world" thread, which is not a crazy idea, but it does get repetitive.

What is the point of insulting people all the time? In most of your posts you just call people various names, you're being rude... Why are you so personal? Do you have fun following the answers? I personally don't care what you write here, I even don't care how you call me, but to be honest, I don't think it is fair from you to talk badly about Jester. I think it is already a way beyond any kind of humour. He brought many people together and I also think the 'Gathering' wouldn't be what it is now without his site. In adition, he cannot defend himself against your offensive jaws (I hope this is a reason you've been waiting for someone to write here)\
Are you this impolite even when talking people face to face?
