On heavy rotation...

Lately I've been listening a lot to Crush, the record Big Paul made in '93 with Michael Bramon and John Carruthers (formerly of Siouxsie And The Banshees) - Here's the video of the song that stands out the most for me (top-notch tune, I must say!) - Can't stop the rain (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nWwNCy1Vbw) You can see Big Paul there doing what he does best, beating the hell out of his drum kit and getting muddy with the rest of the band.

Ordered the new PIL Album on Vinyl, got the free download from A...today. Hooray! I love John and his anger/humor...yet hooked on the last track called Shoom...it inholds the simple but never dying phrase: What the world needs now...is another "F....off"!

Believe me,it`s PIL pure. What else. And once again GREAT! f... Great!Go and get or to recite John himself: ..."buy one as the stock lasts". I realy recommend it. ;)

Thanks for the Crush link! Had to download it because it seems the disc is pretty rare nowadays. Can't stop the rain is really a great tune.
Not a PIL expert here. But I really like Rise and The Order Of Death!

Sun has gone here, autumn awaits... so some nice sunny tunes to enjoy:

Funny you should mention that, as I always connect music with seasons. But if autumn comes, it makes me wanna listen to autumn-ish tracks, to immerse in the feeling, not to look back at seasons just gone. Having said that, I find Absolute Dissent to be a very autumn-like album for me. Well first things first, it came out in September. So I - probably as much as most of you - was listening to it while the feeling of passing summer was overwhelming us, the feeling of nostalgia and watching yellow leaves float on the not-so-warm-anymore wind  I'm finding Honour the Fire as the song that exactly matches this vision.

Hahaha, as it seems you didn't click on the links. ;) I guess I should've wrote "sunny" tunes.

And yes I can relate to your comment in some way. For example Democracy is my personal spring/summer album.

I associate Ghosts of Ladbroke Grove with heavy, muggy summer nights, just before a thunderstorm is about to come. Maybe that's because one day a few years ago I had to work open end in a waste incineration plant for the initial startup. It was extremely hot the whole day and still about 28-29°C warm at that night. I took a break around 11pm and stood outside my booth packed with analysers, having a cigarette. In the distant I could hear the rumbling thunder and watched the lightnings, while the hot wind became stronger and stronger. From inside the booth my laptop was blasting just this one track and it fitted the whole strange atmosphere perfectly. So I always think of this when I listen to Ghosts...

Back to topic: A track which really makes me nostalgic, even though I wasn't even born when it came out:
